Pier 2 Peer Annual Charity – Walk, Run or Cycle

Individuals, couples, families, company teams, and social groups are all welcome to join in the fun, improve their well-being, have a chat, support an award-winning local charity and lift their spirits!
Registration is now open for our fourth annual PIER2PEER charity event. You can join us for just £15 and if you can raise at least £25 in sponsorship too that would be amazing. Every pound raised will help us to keep our volunteer run drop-in advice centre open so we can help women like Samantha who came to us as a domestic abuse survivor, or Martha who needed help to build her confidence after experiencing a traumatic work placement.
The event is open to everyone regardless of their fitness level. If you can’t manage the whole 25k route (a half-marathon) along our beautiful East Sussex coastline, then take part in the fully accessible route from Eastbourne Pier to Sovereign Harbour where you can finish (5k) or return back to Eastbourne Pier 10k) so you’re still doing Pier2Peer! Everyone who takes part gets our specially designed, environmentally friendly medal!
This year you have the option to purchase your own special Pier2Peer 2024 t-shirt for an additional £10, e-mail pier2peer@wayfinderwoman.com to find out more. You have to hurry though as the option will only be available until the end of June.
We start registration at 8:45am. Walkers start at 9:15, runners at 9:30 and cyclists at 9:45am
We time the walk to fit in with the low tide so that when the prom runs out we can walk along the sandy shoreline rather than the pebbles before we see the prom start again at Bexhill. You get full instructions about the route, where the cafes are and those important toilet stops. You also get ideas about how to raise sponsorship.
As well as an opportunity to have a lovely walk, you also get a precious few hours where you can just talk and build friendships. It’s a great team building day out too for any company.
