Awards Ceremony
We received The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service back in June this year and we're busy planning for its presentation
WayfinderWoman was awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in June 2021, the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK! We’re very proud and excited to announce that the official ceremony will be on Wednesday, 10 November 2021 at Eastbourne’s Town Hall, in the presence of the Queen’s representative, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex, Mr Andrew Blackman.
All our volunteers have been very busy planning and organising the event. We’ve designed and sent out invitations, worked with local caterers for refreshments and are planning how we are going to lay out the room to show the best view of us and to ensure our volunteers enjoy the evening. Apart from the formality, we have spent a lot of time discussing what we are going to wear! We’re very excited that we can meet and gather together and wear formal dress again after the Covid restrictions we have all faced.
