We are sad to announce that WayfinderWoman’s Founder, Laura Murphy, will be leaving her role as Chair of the Trustees in September after 7 years due to her terms coming to an end. We are looking for Trustees and a successor for Laura’s position as Chair.

We are dedicated to helping woman and girls of working age to overcome social exclusion and build confidence so they can transform their lives. Thanks to a major National Lottery grant we’re in an exciting phase in our development and the Trustees have recently approved our ambitious 5-year business plan where we are aiming to help 1,000 women a year through our services.
We are particularly looking for someone who can join us as a Trustee and Chair of the charity. The main responsibilities are:
- To provide the strategic leadership to enable the charity to fulfil its aims and objectives and achieve the ambitions of its 5-year plan
- Ensure that the governance arrangements are working in the most effective way for the Charity
- To be an ambassador for the Charity
We meet every 6-8 weeks in Eastbourne in the evening for about 1.5 hours. Trustees are responsible for setting the strategy and policies for the charity, and monitoring progress against our aims. Trustees are appointed for a 3-year term.
