Two of our amazing Trustees are stepping down as their terms have come to an end and we’re looking for their successors to join this amazing, award winning charity.

We are especially looking for women who have an interest or experience in the following areas:

• Legal issues that would arise for our beneficiaries or trustees
• Administration, with a willingness to undertake the role of secretary

Thanks to a major National Lottery grant we’re in an exciting new phase in our development.  We have an ambitious 5-year business plan and looking for new Trustees to help us take this forward.  We are particularly keen to hear from women from diverse ethnic backgrounds and if you’ve had to fight your own battles, or helped others fight theirs then we’d love to hear from you too.

We meet every 6-8 weeks in Eastbourne in the evening for about 1.5 hours. Trustees are responsible for setting the strategy and policies for the charity, and monitoring progress against our aims.  Trustees are appointed for a 3-year term.  There will be an induction, with additional training and support provisionally available through a Charity Mentoring scheme.
